Angus Goldfinch, Principal Consultant, Public Safety and National Security, presented a paper on innovative partnerships at the ITU Cybersecurity Forum in Tunis, June 2009. The Forum was concerned with the challenges faced by countries in the region in enhancing cybersecurity and securing critical information infrastructures. It considered best practices, information sharing mechanisms and concrete actions for cybersecurity development, taking into consideration the key principles of matching the borderless and transnational nature of cyber-threats and meeting specific national and regional requirements.

David Hughes, Intercai’s Director, Middle East was a panellist in IIC’s Telecom and Media Forum in Bahrain, May 2009. The Forum was concerned with Digital Broadband Market and Policy Implications. David talked about the UK regulatory experience and its contribution towards achieving national broadband aspirations based on the extensive work that Intercai has carried out in the UK concerned with functional separation of access networks and services and next generation access.
